Mac & Cheese Festival
You all are probably thinking “Seriously? Another festival?” What did we say? Summer is the time for festivals in the Breckenridge CO area.
We had the choice of a wine festival and mac & cheese festival – same day, different places. We opted for mac & cheese because wine festivals happen all the time. Mac & cheese? Not so much. And not every festival has a Friends theme (fake tv show within a fake tv show), so it was a no-brainer.
This festival was held at Copper Mountain (same place as the Grilled Cheese festival – apparently Copper Mountain likes cheese). We brought the bikes in case we felt like finding some trails (and to work off the food).
Same deal. You had to buy tickets and we were very conservative this time. What was unexpected was that most vendors also offered a vodka drink for an extra dollar (read: ticket). The best we found was vanilla vodka, disaronne and club soda. Yummy.
We decided to take the ski lift up again and it was just as pretty. And yes, another wedding. Didn’t catch their names though. So congratulations, Mrs. Blah Blah.
After having enough Mac & Cheese and vodka, we decided to take a bike ride around Copper. This turned into a bike ride from Copper to Frisco. This turned into a bike ride from Copper to Frisco to Breckenridge. We turned around and realized “Wow, we went downhill for most of the trip.” Realizing that, with bellies full of Mac & Cheese and vodka, going uphill was much more difficult. Our car was at Copper.
Hey, did you guys know that Uber is available in Breckenridge? It is! Phew.
