Inspirations

These are sites that were inspiring to us in some way, or has great information, or we find useful.

They do not sponsor anything on this site, and it’s just our personal opinion that these folks rock in some way or another. Some of these are exclusive to RVing but others are just inspirational in other ways.

Footprints Design – Chloe and Brendan started it for us. Lifelong friends, pals, the devil on our shoulder (as needed), the angel on our shoulder (as needed).

Turtle Herding – Fellow Tiffin owners and developer of Coach Proxy, a Tiffin technology automation system. The Kidds love their gadgets and toys and are just really cool people.

RV Navigator – once a month podcasts on miscellaneous RV items.

RV Village – a social network for RVers.

Gone with the Wynns – these two are so freaking adorable, you’ll want to die, and then you’ll get over the death-wish to get great video blog information about traveling full-time.

Pawcurious – Dr. V is a pet enthusiast like no other. She was integral in helping us emotionally through our cat’s health issues (which eventually became a brain cancer diagnosis, she wrote about it here). If you love pets, you’ll love this blog and all the good it does.

Shonna Humphrey – Shonna’s book, “Dirt Roads and Diner Pie”, is a memoir that chronicles a month-long road trip with her husband as they deal with the repercussions of child sex abuse he experienced. It shows another way of taking the road less traveled and finding strength in yourselves. Even if you have never dealt with this subject, if you’ve ever been married or in a relationship, you’ll recognize yourself in Shonna and Travis.

Wil Wheaton dot net – Because he’s funny, he’s a geek, and he’s Wil Wheaton. The best posts have very few words but still hysterical (here and here). Now go forth and read.

Starlight Sailing Charters – Toby is another person who took the “road less traveled” but instead took to the sea. There’s a personal connection there as well, as he and Kim grew up in the same small town and were in the same class in one way or another since middle school through their high school graduation.
